The title bears an obvious hat tip to Miley Cyrus for her 2013 resurgence of the twerk phenomenon. Probably lesser known to the viewing audience (especially younger viewers) is how the video’s theme is based on the 1985 runaway teen flick “Weird Science”, where two awkward and unpopular teenagers create their ultimate dream woman with the help of technology.
