Rich Homie Quan finds himself in the middle of controversy, following his lyrics on the song “I Made It.” In recent days, a large amount of songs from Rich Homie Quan and former Rich Gang partner Young Thug have leaked online. On one of those songs titled “We Made It,” the Atlanta artists raps about sexually taking advantage of a woman.

“I don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her,” RHQ raps. “She tried to resist so I took it from her/ How are you gonna tell me no?/ You must not know who I am,” he continues.

Once the lyric was discovered and following strong backlash, Rich Homie Quan issued an apology where he also spoke about the leak and not condoning rape.

“‘I Made It’ was never intended to be released. The song was not lyrically what I wanted to say and was not completed. Without my knowledge, there was a studio leak of the recording. I apologize that it’s out; and I have asked my lawyer to pursue a cease and desist on the song immediately. To be clear, I would never condone rape.”
