JUKEBOX:DC recently got a chance to sit-down with D.C.-bred rising star Just-Ty, who’s under MidiEast’s fledgling artist roster and has a new project dropping at the time of this post.

During the interview, we learned the definition of dedication from an individual who — at the time of his last project, Can’t Lost Vol. 1, hosted by DJ Envy and DJ Frank White — was incarcerated as the result of a probation violation. Despite this, his music at the time (one of which was the Fat Trel-assisted hit record ‘I.E.P.‘) continued to surge, while Just-Ty evolved as an artist and person behind bars.

Now, he’s back with a new offering titled Can’t Lose Vol. 2 (hosted by DJ Schemes), a project that proves that Just-Ty is gunning for the crown (we don’t mean the D.C. crown, either — he’s much further than that). In addition to learning about the creation of said project (with an additional surprise or two that you’ll have to watch above to understand), we also learn how he linked with MidiEast, his origins in making music, his current single ‘Shopping’ and much more. He even blessed us with a quick-strike in-studio listening of tracks in his arsenal, each one proving his versatility as a recording artist.

Check out our interview above; below, we’ve included a full stream of Can’t Lose Vol. 2, which features production from Rico Beats, Dun Deal, Ism Beats, 1080 Beats, T-Slizz and N4. No features this go ’round — Just-Ty is taking over on his own.
