JUKEBOX:DC: Who created the Tan Boys Movement?
Bodega Bamz: We always had a crew but Ohla had the vision and named it Tan Boys and got everything organized.

J:DC: How did your affiliation with A$AP Mob & Flatbush Zombies come about?
Bamz: I met a few A$AP members through mutual friends — Ohla was suppose to shoot the video for ‘Peso’ — and then we reconnected with the Mob when me and Ant did ‘Told Ya’. I met Flatbush through A$AP Yams.

J:DC: Who are the Tan Boys?
Bamz: Tanboys [consists of] me, Willie Hex, Ohla and an army of Latinos with machetes for protection.

J:DC: You seem to be getting a lot of attention from sponsors like Addidas & Pepsi…are there any other big deals in the works?
Bamz: Without giving too much away, just expect me to be involved with a couple things. We cooking, Pa.

J:DC: The first time I heard you rap was about a year ago on A$AP Ant’s ‘I Told Ya’, and you did a whole scene with A blade in your mouth…is that a Tan Boys thing or something you picked up from elsewhere?
Bamz: It’s a jail thing I got that from my cousin DJ (David)…I only got to hang with him for a short period of time in my life ’cause he was always in and out of jail, but he broke it down how to do it, and it stuck with me ever since.
